Full Armor Yoga Classes

We are now offering Yoga classes at the Full Armor Center with Bob Kolynych (YogaBob) certified in RYT 200 Power Vinyasa Yoga, and Deb Kolynych (YogaDeb) certified in RYT 200 Power Vinyasa Yoga and ERYT500 Vinyasa Yoga.

Bob comes from the Philadelphia area and has been practicing Yoga for 13 years and teaching Yoga for the last 3 years.  He was trained at Power Yoga Works, a Baron Baptise affiliated studio in Philadelphia. He was also the general manager for five years for two Yoga studios in the suburban Philly area.

Deb also comes from the Philadelphia area (Northern by birth but Southern in heart and choice!)  and has been practicing Yoga for 8 years and teaching Yoga for the last 6 years.  She was also trained at Power Yoga Works, a Baron Baptise affiliated studio in Philadelphia. She worked with the owner of Power Yoga Works in the Yoga Teacher’s Training Program for 5 years.

The style of Yoga that they teach is Vinyasa Yoga, better known as “Flow Yoga” in which movement is synchronized to breathing. This style of Yoga is called “Flow Yoga” because of the smooth way that the poses run together. The breath acts as an anchor to the movement as you flow from one pose to the next in time with an inhale or an exhale.

These classes will not teach nor incorporate any meditation, Ohms and/or chants. This style of “Flow Yoga” is purely for the physical and athletic benefits of Yoga; a total body workout.

Is Vinyasa Yoga for You?

Vinyasa’s strength is in its diversity. There is no single philosophy, rulebook, or sequence that teachers must follow, so there is a lot of room for individual personalities to come through. The one thing that will not change, however, is the emphasis on linking movement with breath.

The classes will typically include a broad range of poses, including standing and balancing postures, twists, backbends, inversions, seated poses, and forward folds. Every class will end with Savasana, the final relaxation posture. These classes are often vigorous and demand (and produce) a lot of strength and stamina, making them great classes for those who want a "workout" style of yoga. In general, Vinyasa classes place less emphasis on absolute precision, in favor of finding one's unique ability to "flow," even when presented with challenges.
